MCC Holds Information Sessions for Upcoming Precision Manufacturing Program
Manchester, Conn. (November 9, 2016) – Manchester Community College is offering several free information sessions for students interested in enrolling in the upcoming Precision manufacturing program, which begins January 17, 2017 and finishes on July 13, 2017.
The information sessions will be held on November 18, from 10 to 11 a.m.; December 5 from 3 to 4 p.m.; and December 16 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Raymond F. Damato Learning Resource Center, room B144. Interested students need to attend one of these sessions before enrolling.
The Precision Manufacturing Program is designed to equip students with a vital skill set for an in-demand, high-paying career in just six months. The program focuses not only on foundational knowledge, but also on necessary hands-on experience for entry-level positions as machine operators and quality control inspectors. Students completing the program will be qualified for work as a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine operator.
Those who complete the program earn a credit and a non-credit certificate that qualify them for immediate employment in the field, as well as up to 30 credits that can then be applied toward an associate degree in Technology Studies – Industrial Technology Option at MCC or transferred to another institution.
