Manchester, Conn. (June 15, 2016) – Manchester Community College’s Continuing Education division offers the course Web Communication and Design as part of its Summer 2016 catalog offerings. Upon completion of the course, students will be awarded the non-credit Web Communication and Design MCC certificate.

The class will start Monday, June 20, and will be held from 6-9 p.m. It will meet for six Mondays at that time of day, ending on August 1. The course does not meet July 4. The fee is $299.

The instructor will provide useful handouts and a USB drive with the complete course installed on it. Students need to have basic Windows, keyboarding, mouse and web browser skills.

MCC also offers associate degrees through the Computer Game Design and Graphic Arts programs that have been structured to equip students with a sound foundation in technical skills, design concepts, aesthetics, terminology and vocabulary, and to provide them with an awareness of how to combine creative and critical thinking with technical knowledge.

These programs not only prepare students for entry-level positions in their fields, but recent job-readiness surveys of employers suggest that having at least a familiarity with these skills is an advantage in today’s workplace. These courses also have a strong track record of transfer to baccalaureate institutions. For more information, visit https://www.manchestercc.edu/academics/programs/.
