Backyard Chicken Raising Course at MCC
Manchester, Conn. (February 22, 2016) – Manchester Community College’s spring credit-free course offerings will include Backyard Chickens, which will run for two sessions, Monday, March 7, from 6 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, March 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. The course fee is $55.
Raising backyard chickens has increased in popularly in recent years and led to Manchester’s new May 2015 zoning law that now allows Manchester residents to follow suit. The course will provide participants with information about what to consider before purchasing the first flock and how-to information for creating and maintaining the living quarters for birds.
