Manchester Community College Announces MCC on Main May Events

The following events are scheduled for May at Manchester Community College Arts and Education Center, also known as MCC on Main.

“Live on Main” entertainment in the Dehn Gallery:

Sunday Jazz Series. May 3, 1:30 to 3 p.m. $15 cover. Music by David Stoltz and Theresa Wright. Light fare and wine tasting included; seating limited. Pre-registration suggested.

Imagine Main Street: MCC Jazz Ensemble. May 7, 7 to 9 p.m. Free. Live music featuring a variety of styles and instruments.

Trivia On Main. May 8, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. $5 cover. Hosted by BaR Rated Trivia. Teams of two or more are welcome. Prizes awarded. Beer tasting by Olde Burnside Brewery.

Live on Main: The Coffee Grinders. May 9, 7 to 9 p.m. $5 cover. Acoustic blues music.  BYOB.

Mishi-maya-gat: Spoken Word and Music Series. May 21, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Free. Jazz with The Mike Casey/Corey Garcia Duo, 6:30 p.m. Poet Afaa Micheal Weaver, 7:30 p.m.

Acoustic Open Mic Night May 30, 7 to 9 p.m. $5 cover. Sign-ups start at 6:30 p.m. Showcase your talents. Hosted by Curtis Willey. BYOB.

“Food For Thought.” Through May 16. Juried show features artwork that is food or beverage-related. Free.

Artist’s reception for “Year in Review: Manchester High School Student Exhibition.” May 22, 6 to 8 p.m. Free. Show runs through July 11.

Workshops/seminars:

Century 21 Homebuyers Seminar. May 20, 5:30 to 8 p.m. Free. Information about the home-buying process. Light fare offered.

Future Business Leaders Network. May 27, 6 to 8 p.m. For aspiring high school entrepreneurs. This month’s topic: Banking and Finance. Pizza and beverages provided.

Manchester Entrepreneurs Happy Hour. May 28, 6 to 8 p.m. Free. Network with local entrepreneurs. Light fare and cocktails by Onyx Moonshine. Reservations suggested.

  •  Figure Drawing. Each Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. $12 per class; $10 for MCC on Main members. Easels provided, bring your own supplies.
