MCC Announces April Events at the Viscogliosi Entrepreneurship Center

New events and programs are scheduled at the Viscogliosi Entrepreneurship Center (VEC). All events are free unless noted otherwise.

Supported by a generous gift made by Paula and Anthony G. Viscogliosi, the VEC provides entrepreneurs and small business owners with opportunities to explore and develop their passion and vision, and to create responsible leadership and viable businesses through innovative and informative educational and networking programs.

Following are the programs for April, held at the Manchester Community College Arts and Education Center — also known as MCC on Main — 903 Main Street. April 10 – 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.  “Business Counseling for Women.” Guest speaker is Milena Erwin, Women’s Business Center, University of Hartford. In partnership with the University of Hartford, the VEC offers business career advising and counseling. Sessions are scheduled by the hour for one-on-one business counseling. Walk-ins welcome; reservations suggested.

April 23 – 6 to 8 p.m.  “Managing Costs Through Analysis, Vendor Negotiations and Management.” Guest speaker is Stephen Carrabba, CEO, Expense Consulting, Ltd. Information for entrepreneurs and small business owners on how to manage their costs.

April 29 – 6 to 8 p.m. “Strengths and Gaps of the Entrepreneurial Personality Type.” Guest speaker is Monica Leggett of Monica Leggett Coaching and Consulting. Learn how to identify real-life business strengths that contribute to successful entrepreneurship.

April 30 – 6 to 8 p.m. Manchester Entrepreneurs Happy Hour. Network with local professionals and entrepreneurs while enjoying light fare and cocktails provided by Onyx Moonshine.

April 16 – 6 to 8 p.m. “iPad Series III: Exploring Productivity Apps.” Refer to CRN 12053 when registering. Fee: $25. Instructor: Sandra Rimetz.
