Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in the healthcare field or related field required, as well as direct experience working with and supervising medical insurance billers and coders. Applicant should be a Certified Professional Coder with knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding procedures.

An understanding of the mission of the community college and demonstrated ability to work with multiple constituencies and involvement in support of a culturally and ethnically diverse population are required.

Those not meeting the minimum qualifications as stated must put in writing how precisely their experience has prepared them for the responsibilities of this position.


Responsibilities

The Business Office Technology program is currently seeking adjunct faculty to teach Medical Billing and Coding classes part-time, as well as to teach Foundations and Management of Health Insurance.


Minimum Salary/Compensation

$1,546 – $1,663 per credit hour
