Newspaper: Be able to publish our school newspaper and also have the opportunity to be printed in the MCC LiveWire (college newspaper). Buder

SAT Prep: Class designed to prepare students for taking the SAT for the first time or to improve their scores. Taught by Mr. Simpson, an SAT tutor.

Homework: Quiet setting for students to catch up on assignments and get work done. Computer access can be provided. Chaki

Garden: We make plants grow. Club will work in the MCC community garden as well as in the classroom. Thurrott

Improv Comedy: We will work on developing improvisation skills through exercises and theatre games with the goal of creating short comic pieces. Interested students should have a serious interest in creative performance and not be shy about taking creative risks. Zotos

Nerd Club: Will be a club for nerdy, geeky, and techies alike. Discussions on new tech products, entertainment, etc. Also, logic games and we will impact and inform the school with some community projects in only a way the Nerd Club could do so. de Oliveira

Martial Arts Club: Learn the fundamentals of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do including Kickboxing, Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and much more. This is not Fight club. You do not get to box your friends. It is not backyard wrestling. Only join if you want to learn safe, practical, effective martial arts. Hoffman

Spanish Language and Culture: In this club students are going to learn about different Spanish countries, their cultures and their music. Ruoff and Diez

Student Council: This is for students interested in running for and participating in student government at GPA. Students will receive information about the process then give a speech at the School Meeting at the end of September. Students from all grade levels are needed. Gillies and P-D

Crochet and Crafting: Learn the art of crochet (similar to knitting) or use the time to learn to do a craft! If interested in learning crochet, please come with a size H crochet hook and some yarn (a light color would be better for learning)! Kliman

Women’s Leadership: Women’s Leadership is an initiative aimed at inspiring young females to be leaders in society. This club includes mentoring, workshops and career advice. The females in this club will represent Great Path Academy to the community by completing service projects to various non-profit organizations. Ms. Johnston and Ms. Robinson welcome all females that would like help developing into tomorrow’s leaders. Robinson and Johnston

Intro to Conditioning: Introduction to fitness and conditioning for students that are not currently in Strength and Conditioning class with Mr. Basile.

Distance Running: Students will train for tentatively four 5k’s throughout the year in which they will compete (should they wish). Training will include setting students up with a personalized schedule, technique workouts, and recorded results from each practice. If you are interested in building your cardio and disciplined enough to follow a schedule, please join! Max: 12-15 students. Houchens

Drumline and Percussion Ensemble: This will be a club all about drumming and percussion. We’ll learn music as a drumline and perform at various functions for the school and community. We’ll also learn some “stomp” style percussion music. Maximum 20 students. Wolf

Girls Basketball: This girls only club will provide an opportunity to play some basketball during club time in the gym. Traynor
