Professor Receives 2014 Educational Excellence and Distinguished Service Award
Dr. Francine Rosselli-Navarra, professor of psychology, is the recipient of the college’s 2014 Educational Excellence and Distinguished Service Award. This award recognizes employees whose performance exemplifies excellence in teaching, leadership and administration.
“We are very proud to name Dr. Rosselli-Navarra as the recipient of the 2014 Educational Excellence and Distinguished Service Award at Manchester Community College,” said Gena Glickman, president of MCC. “Dr. Rosselli-Navarra is an outstanding teacher and is dedicated to the success of her students. She is also a distinguished researcher and thought leader in the field of psychology.”
Dr. Rosselli-Navarra has published widely on topics focused on the epidemiology and treatment of binge eating disorders; the college experience for students from working class backgrounds; persuasive processing of rational and emotional appeals; the incidence of violent imagery in advertising, and other substantive areas.
As part of her award, she receives grant funding to pursue a special career development project. She is planning to apply this funding toward the costs of attending two upcoming psychology teaching conferences.
