Criminal Justice Dept., Criminal Justice Club Co-sponsor Police K-9 Demonstration
The MCC Criminal Justice Department and Criminal Justice Club co-sponsored a police K-9 demonstration April 29 for the campus community. West Hartford police officers Thomas Lazure (with K-9 Jett) and Nicholas Roman (with K-9 Axel) along with Farmington police officer Joseph Capodiferro (with K-9 Drak) facilitated the demonstration. Students were told of the police K-9 function and shown various police K-9 techniques including advanced obedience, aggression control, criminal apprehension, muzzle work, and an article recovery. Nearly 100 students and faculty were in attendance and the demonstration was a success.
