Evening of Fine Wine Tickets on Sale

Manchester, Connecticut – (February 12, 2014)… Tickets are on sale for the 22nd annual Evening of Fine Wines to be held on Friday, April 25 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. This year’s presenting sponsor is Kelser Corporation.

Enjoy an elegant evening out while supporting a worthy cause. The evening will include silent and live auction items featuring wines, champagnes, once-in-a-lifetime trips, weekend getaways, original works of art, golf, restaurant gift cards, and more.

Wine and spirits from Connecticut and around the globe will be featured at more than 25 tasting tables. Each guest will receive a complimentary souvenir wine glass for sampling the wine. Elegant hors d’oeuvres and desserts, prepared by MCC award-winning Culinary Arts students, will be served throughout the evening.

This year’s event will be extra special as we also celebrate the 50th birthday of Manchester Community College. Guests will enjoy dancing and other festivities as part of the celebration.

Tickets are $85 per person and advance purchase is recommended. A group rate is available when purchasing six tickets or more for a savings of $10 per ticket. Funds from Evening of Fine Wines support student scholarships and academic programming at MCC. Contributions to Evening of Fine Wines directly benefit hundreds of deserving students who need financial assistance to pursue and reach their educational goals. Established in 1968, the MCC Foundation secures funding for student scholarships, programs and equipment to aid the college in achieving its mission. Events such as Evening of Fine Wines, which celebrated a record-breaking year in 2013, net more than $100,000 annually for student scholarships and college programs.

The MCC Foundation gives hundreds of deserving students the opportunity to achieve their academic dreams through the scholarship program, awarding approximately $200,000 to 200 students each year. In addition, the Foundation supports college programs like culinary arts with over $50,000 in funding.
