MCC Credit-Free Programs Offers Course on Developing e-Newsletters
In current marketing strategies, the e-newsletter has become one of the most popular vehicles for reaching customers, employees, community members and other audiences. Manchester Community College Credit-Free Programs is now offering a five-hour, two-day course for small businesses and nonprofit organizations to help them take the best advantage of this strategic tool.
The course, “e-Newsletters for Small Businesses and Nonprofits,” starts Thursday, February 20, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. and finishes Thursday, February 27 during the same time period (refer to CRN 12158 for registration). The course fee is $60.
Informative email newsletters, written in an engaging style, are an effective way to generate new business, stay connected with existing customers, and advocate for your cause,” according to Michael Selissen, founder of Case Mountain Communications, who teaches the course.
Selissen’s Manchester-based independent marketing consulting company specializes in helping businesses and nonprofits communicate what they know. His own monthly e-newsletter, MarCom Matters, takes an insightful look at marketing communications tools, tactics and strategies.
The new MCC Credit-Free Programs course will focus on how to produce an e-newsletter that reflects an organization’s brand or an individual’s own expertise.
We’ll cover how to identify your audience, plan and design the newsletter, grow your subscriber list and choose an email service provider,” Selissen said. “We will also address ways of discovering your own authentic voice and where to find content ideas.”
