February 4 – Interviewing Tips Workshop. The Interviewing Tips workshop will cover the various stages of the interviewing process. Job seekers will gain insight into frequently asked interview questions and other tips that can help lead to a successful interview. This workshop is free and open to the public. February 7 – International Film Series: Fruitvale Station (United States). This is based on the true story of Oscar, a 22-year-old Bay Area resident who wakes up on the morning of December 31, 2008 and feels something in the air. Not sure what it is, he takes it as a sign to get a head start on his resolutions. He starts out well, but as the day goes on, he realizes that change is not going to come easy. February 11 – Raise Awareness Concerning Alcohol Use and Sexual Assault. Manchester Community College along with outside agencies will be hosting a tabling and speaking event to raise awareness concerning alcohol use and sexual assault. Tabling will consist of trivia games, candy, giveaways, resources, and prizes. At 2:00 p.m. in the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium, a former competitive figure skater will share her personal experience with domestic violence. February 11 – Dehn Visiting Artist Series: Sculptor Dean Snyder. Sculptor and RISD professor Dean Snyder received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute, a British Arts Council Fellowship for postgraduate work in sculpture at Lanchester Polytechnic, and an MFA in sculpture from the Art Institute of Chicago. February 19 – Poetry Reading: Sarah Freligh. Sarah Freligh is the author Sort of Gone (Turning Point, 2008), a book of poems about the rise and fall of a star baseball pitcher, as well as A Brief History of an American Girl, a chapbook published in 2012.
