December 3 – Admissions Information Session. Find out more about MCC! Learn about the admissions and financial aid processes, programs of study and student services and tour the campus. December 3 – Classical Cuisine Dinner. Students from MCC’s culinary arts programs will prepare and serve a gourmet meal featuring salad, soup, appetizer, sorbet, entrée, cheese and dessert. Six of the seven courses will be paired with a special wine. The evening will include a celebration of the college’s 50th birthday. Proceeds benefits MCC’s culinary programs. December 4 – Occupational Therapy Assistant Information Session. Students interested in being admitted into the OTA program must attend a mandatory information session. Coordinators will answer all questions about the program during the information session. Learning Resource Center, LRC B125, 2:00 p.m. For more information, contact Theresa Blake at 860-512-2704. Students do not need to sign up for the information session.
December 6 – International Film Series. Quartet (United Kingdom) – Cecily, Reggie and Wilfred are in a home for retired musicians. Every year, on October 10, there is a concert to celebrate Verdi’s birthday and they take part. Jean, who used to be married to Reggie and the fourth member of the quartet, arrives at the home and disrupts their equilibrium. She still acts like a diva, but she refuses to sing. Still, the show must go on…and it does. Directed by Dustin Hoffman; Maggie Smith stars. 98 mins. English/Polish. Rated PG-13.
