Manchester, CT – Mark Grant (Coventry) scored his team leading 13th and 14th goals of the year as Manchester CC (10-6) beat Massbay CC 4-0 Thursday afternoon in Manchester in a Region 21, Division III game.

Danilo Rivera (East Hartford) also scored a pair of goals and assisted on another and sophomore captain Steve German (Coventry) made 10 saves to earn his second shutout of the season. Rivera, making his first start, scored one minute and 49 seconds into the contest to put MCC on top to stay.

MCC improves to 9-2 in division games while MassBay drops to 9-4-1, 7-4.

The Cougars travel to Boston on Saturday (October 20) to play Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology.
