Mark Grant Assists Soccer Team in 4-1 Victory at Holyoke

HOLYOKE, MA – Sophomore Mark Grant (Coventry) had three assists to lead Manchester CC to a 4-1 road victory over Holyoke CC in NJCAA, Region 21, Division III action Wednesday afternoon.
Richard Cousley (Hartford) had a goal and an assist while Anibal Saenz (Newington) added a pair of second half goals.

Sophomore co-captain Steve German (Coventry) made 17 saves in first-year head coach Daren Foster’s first collegiate win. Tim Goodale (Coventry) also scored for MCC (1-3).

Tom Langdon scored seven minutes into the second half for Holyoke (0-2) to cut Manchester’s lead down to 2-1. Saenz scored his goals in the 67th and 69th minute, both assisted by Grant, to put the game away.
