Brother-2-Brother Scholars Identified at Manchester Community College
Manchester, Connecticut-(January 18, 2012) Brother-2-Brother is a program designed to support the academic and developmental growth of males of Latino and African descent attending Manchester Community College. The program, launched during the fall of 2008 semester, was developed to respond to requests by African American and Latino males attending the college to have ongoing formalized opportunities for this type of programing.
Participants in Brother-2-Brother are supported through various programs and services, which include access to a faculty/staff mentor on campus, regularly scheduled group check-ins and one-on-one success sessions with the program coordinators.
Twelve Brother -2-Brother Scholars have been identified for the 2011 fall semester at Manchester Community College based on overall grade point average of 3.0 and participation in the mentoring program and Brother-2-Brother program activities.
