Upcoming Events at Manchester Community College

Manchester, Connecticut-(March, 29, 2012)… The following events will be held at Manchester Community College during the month of April.

Tickets are on sale for the 20th Annual An Evening of Fine Wines, which will be held on Friday, April 27 from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. This year’s honorary chair is William H Crawford President and CEO of Rockville Bank. This annual gala event combines a wine tasting and live wine auction with a silent auction of non-wine items to raise funds for scholarships and programs at the College. Other April events at Manchester Community College include;

Wednesday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m.- Stephen Campiglio will present a poetry reading to celebrate National Library week in the Library Fireside Commons. He will be reading from his new book of poetry, Cross-Fluence.

Saturday, April 14, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.- Regional Job Fair in the Great Path Academy Gymnasium. More than 50 employers expected to attend this event. Career opportunities are available in all areas.

Tuesday, April 17, 6 p.m- Murder Mystery Dinner Theater in the Culinary Arts Center, Lowe, Student Services Center. Enjoy Italian fare and be entertained by Detective Chuck E.Chan and a colorful cast of character .General Admission: $12 Student: $6.

Thursday, April 19, 4:30 p.m.-7:00 p.m.- MCC Open House. Future, returning, transfer and newly admitted students and family can learn about the programs and services provided by MCC.

Friday, April 20, 7 p.m-. The MCC International Film Series presents “My Afternoons with Margueritte” (France) in the SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium.

Except where noted, all are free and open to the public.
