MCC Graduates 17 from Precision Machining Certificate Program

Manchester, CT-(May 6, 2011)…Manchester Community College graduated a class of 17 students from the Precision Machining Certificate program in April. This program is designed for men and women who want to learn the technical skills needed to succeed in the field of manufacturing technology.

The following students graduated: Humberto Acevedo, East Hartford; Maria Arsenault, Manchester; Nataliya Barbieri, Manchester; Martin Boone, Manchester; Steve Brewer, Manchester; Donouvict Romualdo Cosalan, Glastonbury; Vince Haggitt, Chaplin; Anthony Horn, Ashford; Larry James, Hartford; Romeo Marasigan, Newington; Robert Moore, Manchester; David Plen, Manchester; Ken Ponkala, Union; Jennifer Scanlon, Glastonbury; Bruce Selig,Thompson; Quang Tran ,East Hartford and Issac Zene, Hartford.

The program is designed with input from local businesses and is regularly updated to include advances in technology. In addition to gaining theoretical knowledge, students benefit from hand-on-experience in bench work, quality assurance and the operation of lathes, milling machines and surface grinders. The Precision Machining certificate program is a 600 hour course with both classroom and lab experience.

Students of any age who possess the desire to pursue higher education are welcome at Manchester Community College.
