MCC’S Cougar Classic Golf Tournament a Success

Manchester, CT-( September 29, 2011)…After a hiatus of several years, the MCC Cougar Classic Golf Tournament was held on September 28th at the Manchester Country Club. More than 80 participants helped raise money for student support services at the college.

The Cougar Classic Golf Tournament supports student life and programs at MCC, which play an important role in student development by building leadership and interpersonal skills, teaching life lessons and bridging to four-year institutions. This type of programming is an integral component of a successful college experience.

The following awards were given at the banquet:
1st Gross: Peter Harris, Frank Perry, Willie Woodward and Carlos Salmon
2nd Gross: Ron Pugliese , Bob Shambreskis, Joe Regan and John Bartbieri
1st Net: Duncan Harris, Ron People, Ramon Peralta and Marvin Bristol
2nd Net: Bill Holowaty, Kevin Willoghby, Rich Lewis, Bill Geitner

Closest to Pin for Men was awarded to Don Olsavicky, Closest to Pin for Women was awarded to Harriet Haslett, Longest Drive for Women was awarded to Suzanne Cleary, and Longest Drive for Men was awarded to Matthew Welle.
