New Hires at MCC

New Hires at Manchester Community College

Manchester,CT-(September 13, 2011)…The following are new faces at Manchester Community College.

Sarah Cieglo, a resident of New Haven, has been hired as a lecturer in the Social Science and Hospitality Department. Sarah is a Ph.D. candidate at Yale University in the History Department and has taught at Naugatuck Valley Community College and served as a Teaching Fellow at Yale University. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in History and Musicology and a master’s degree from Yale University in History. She has served as a volunteer tutor for New Haven Reads, has been a volunteer Organizer for Christ Church and was an organizer for the Yale British Studies Colloquium.

Carleigh Cappeta, a resident of Rocky Hill, has been hired as the part- time director of the Excursions in Learning program. This is an enrichment program for children ages 5-14, who explore a variety of subjects through this hands on, experiential learning program. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in Theatre and a bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education from Southern Connecticut State University. She has worked as an early childhood teacher at the Cheshire Nursery School and for the Hartford Stage Company as an Education Associate for Community- Based Programs.

Students of any age who possess the desire to pursue higher education are welcome at Manchester Community College.
