Commencement 2011 Fast Facts

• This is the 47th annual commencement at Manchester Community College.

• This is MCC’s largest graduating class ever.

• 936 associate in science degrees, associate in art degrees and certificates are being awarded.

• There are 786 graduates; 65 students will receive multiple degrees and certificates.

• The youngest graduate is 18; the oldest is 78.

• Fifty three percent of the graduates are women.

• Graduates are from 79 towns across Connecticut and three other states.

• 728 associate in science degrees, 58 associate in art degrees and 149 certificates are being awarded.

• The largest field of study is General Studies, in which 285 A.S. degrees are being awarded.

• 231 graduates will receive academic honors: 47 were named summa cum laude; 67, magna cum laude; and 108, cum laude.
