MCC Signs Articulation Agreement with Barney School

Manchester, CT (November 12, 2010)…Manchester Community College and the University of Hartford Barney School of Business recently signed an articulation agreement that will allow the smooth transfer of MCC graduates in the Accounting and Business Administration Transfer, A.S. program to the University of Hartford Barney School of Business.

Students in the associate degree program at MCC must successfully complete specific courses to enter the Barney School of Business to pursue a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration. Automatic admission to the Barney School of Business is guaranteed for MCC transfer students who complete their associate in science degree in Accounting and Business Administration Transfer program and have grades of “C” or higher in business courses.

This articulation agreement will build on an existing relationship between the Barney School of Business and Manchester Community College. Joint advising will be available to MCC students to foster a smooth transition.

Among those present at the signing of the articulation agreement from Manchester Community College were Gena Glickman, President; Joanne Russell, dean of Academic Affairs; and Georgia Buckles, Accounting and Business Administration department chair. The University of Hartford representatives included Sharon Vasquez, University provost; Jim Fairfield-Sonn, dean of the Barney School of Business; and Annette Rogers, assistant dean of the Barney School.
