MCC Takes Charge In Second Half in 4-1 Win Over Holyoke

Manchester CC 4 Holyoke CC 1
MANCHESTER – Eric Trazinski (East Granby) broke a 1-1 tie three minutes into the second half, igniting Manchester CC’s (2-1) offense in a 4-1 victory over Holyoke CC (2-1) Wednesday afternoon in Manchester.
It was the second game winner in as many games for Trazinski, who scored the lone goal in MCC’s 1-0 win over Springfield Tech Monday.

The Cougars also received goals from Matt Seguin (Chaplin), Albert Shakhnazarov (West Hartford) and Giuseppe Panajia (Glastonbury). Tony Ettore (Plainville) made six saves as MCC improved to 2-0 in NJCAA, Region21 division play.

“He is a big strong kid who scored a lot of goals in high school,” MCC head coach Jim Insinga said of Trazinski. “And he is starting to show that he can do it here at the college level as well.”

Holyoke jumped to a 1-0 lead on a Joe Lisella goal eight minutes into the game and controlled the ball in the Manchester end. Seguin tied the game 21 minutes later, sending the game into the half tied at 1-1.
“We have four starters injured right now and it took the replacements pretty much a full half to settle in,” Insinga said. “Once we got comfortable with the eleven, we started to make some progress.”

MCC travels to Bunker Hill CC in Boston on Saturday then returns home to host Region 15 power Monroe College Monday at 5PM.
