MCC’s Lindsay Estok Named Academic All-American
MANCHESTER – Manchester Community College women’s soccer player Lindsay Estok was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Academic All-American team after posting a 3.71 GPA over two years.
Estok graduated from MCC in May with an Associate’s Degree in Adaptive Physical Education, with a minor in Nutrition. The 2009 team captain was also honored by the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA) as a scholar athlete.
The 2007 Middletown High graduate played in all 32 of her team’s games over two seasons with 14 goals and 17 assists and was named to NJCAA Division III All-New England (Region XXI) second team in 2009. She won the Coach’s Award in 2008 while helping the Cougars to a program-best 16-3 record.
Estok plans to continue her education at a four-year school and become an adaptive physical education teacher and soccer coach after graduation.
Estok is MCC’s third NJCAA Academic All-American in four years, following women’s soccer player Julia Connor (2009) and baseball player Jason Banks (2007).
