MCC Congratulates Former Student on Appointment to Superior Court Bench
Manchester, Conn. – (May 11, 2010) . . . Manchester Community College congratulates MCC alumna Kathleen McNamara`74 of East Hartford, for her recent appointment as a new judge of the Superior Court.
“We are proud of Judge McNamara’s accomplishments and delighted to see one of our former students reach this professional pinnacle. We all wish her well in her new role in our community,” stated Dr. Gena Glickman, president of Manchester Community College.
McNamara, 56, is currently the senior assistant State’s Attorney and has been a state prosecutor since 1990. She obtained her law degree from Western New England School of Law while serving as an East Hartford police officer. She served in the East Hartford department from 1979 to 1990. McNamara graduated from MCC in the spring 1974 with an associate degree in criminal justice. She obtained her baccalaureate degree from Northeastern University in 1978.
