WILLIMANTIC – Ryan Carroll (Newington) pitched six shutout innings for his first win of the season as Manchester CC (11-10) beat Eastern Connecticut’s Sub Varsity 3-1 Thursday in Willimantic. Joey Allison (East Hartford) was 2 for 4 with an RBI double for the Cougars. Mike Methot (Bristol) struck out two batters and picked up his fourth save with a perfect ninth inning.
