Men’s Soccer Team Wins Big

Holyoke, MA (Sept, 3) – The MCC Men’s Soccer team got its first win of the season with an 11-0 outburst in Holyoke Wednesday afternoon. Freshman Mariusz Kurzatkowski (Southington) scored four times while Joe Danso (West Haven) and Jason Walker (Windsor) each added a pair of goals. Daniel Boateng (East Hartford), Austin Fetzer (Hebron), Stanley Potchoiba (Montville) rounded out the scoring. Danso and Walker had two assists apiece.
Hami Kara (Wethersfield), Chris Meneses (Canton) and John Ruggiero (Enfield) combined for five saves in the shutout victory on the road.
“We totally dominated,” Jim Insinga said after his first win of his ninth season as MCC Coach. “It was our first win and we needed it.” The Cougars dropped their season opener at Bristol CC in Fall River on Saturday and now stand at 1-1. Holyoke is now 0-1.
