Meira Named NJCAA DIII Men’s Soccer All-American

MANCHESTER, Conn. – sophomore forward Santiago Meira (AVON) has been named a 2007 second-team National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III Men’s Soccer All-American.

This is the seventh All-American since 2000 under Coach Insinga, including, forward Fotis Anastasiou (2002, first team), forward Darren Foster (2004, first team), forward Colin Jackson (2005, first team), midfielder Lamar Chancey (2005, second team), forward Andreas Blamo (2006, first team), and sweeper back, Andrew Repay (2006, second team).

The 2007 Cougars finished the season (10-8-1 overall, 6-2 Division III Region XXI).
