Students Can Get Credit for Prior Real-World Experience in MCC’s Criminal Justice Programs – Enroll Today

MANCHESTER, Conn.  (November 22, 2021) – Prospective students with work experience or related training in the criminal justice field may be eligible to receive academic credit for their experiences, putting them on the fast track to completion at Manchester Community College.

MCC’s criminal justice degree and certificate programs prepare students for career opportunities in the criminal justice field, as well as transfer to bachelor’s degree programs. Degree concentration options include law enforcement, corrections, and forensic science, as well as crime and deviance. The diverse curriculum provides an academic and practical approach to the criminal justice field and experienced program faculty bring many years of job-related professional and academic experience to the classroom. Students have the option of choosing between two associate degree tracks, the associate in science degree in Criminal Justice or the CSCU Pathway Transfer associate in art degree in Criminology Studies. Certificates, which require fewer credits to complete, include concentrations in corrections, criminal justice and forensic science.

Criminal justice students have the opportunity to pursue internships and participate in campus activities that provide them with hands-on experience in the field.
