Precision manufacturing certification equips students with the necessary hands-on experience and foundational knowledge to qualify for entry-level positions as machine operators and quality control inspectors. In this program, students are taught both conventional machining techniques and CNC machining techniques. Students who complete the program earn nationally recognized credentials and a 38-credit certificate that can be applied toward an associate degree in Technology Studies-Industrial Technology Option.

The Gene Haas Foundation was formed in 1999 with the primary goal of building skills in the machining industry.  The foundation provides an opportunity for schools to apply for funds annually, providing scholarships for computer numerical control (CNC) machine technology students and National Institute for Metalworking Skills credentials.  The Gene Haas Foundation has contributed over $60 million since 2014 supporting education throughout the world.
