MCC 50th Oral History Interviews
For the past several years, MCC has been engaged in collecting oral histories from alumni, faculty and staff, and friends of the college. Oral history involves interviewing a person or group to get an inside perspective into what it was like to live in a particular time or, in MCC's case, go to school or work in a particular place. When one person is interviewed, we gain knowledge of his or her experiences, which may or may not be typical of the time or place. But by interviewing a group of people, we can begin to create a picture of their collective experience.
As the college celebrates its 50th birthday, it was the ideal time to release these interviews so that students, faculty and staff, and our community partners - past, present and future - can share in MCC's rich history.
Watch a video or two, or watch them all on the MCC YouTube channel. And, when you are through, tell us your story!
