26th Annual MCC Regional Job Fair is March 21
WETHERSFIELD, March 11, 2014 – Whether you’re a newcomer to the job market or looking to advance your career, plan on attending the 26th Annual Manchester Community College Regional Job Fair on Friday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Connecticut Department of Labor, Manchester Community College, Journal Inquirer, WDRC AM/FM, and the MCC Foundation.
“The Department of Labor is joining with Manchester Community College and our other partners to help employers connect with qualified jobseekers,” said State Labor Commissioner Sharon M. Palmer. “Participants will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with representatives from over50 companies offering positions in management, medical, technical, manufacturing and sales fields.”
Certified Professional Résumé Writers from the Department of Labor will be available to critique résumés to help showcase jobseeker’s skills and accomplishments. More than 1,500 people have attended past Job Fairs. This event is free and on-campus parking is plentiful. Among the companies exhibiting will be Eastern Connecticut Health Network, General Dynamics Electric Boat, Project Genesis, Inc., United Parcel Service and QuEST Global.
